I'm About to Have My Orthodontic Consultation - What Should I Know?
Posted on 10/10/2017 by Dr. Lovrovich
If you are considering orthodontic treatment for yourself or your child to straighten teeth or correct jaw alignment, first you have to setup an orthodontic consultation with us.
During the consultation we will evaluate the issues that may need fixing or correction and you will have a chance to ask all of the questions that you have been burning to ask.
Don't be Bashful!
The orthodontic consultation is a necessary appointment because we like to get everything straightened out and on the table ahead of time. It's the perfect time to let all your questions fly. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get during the consultations:
How long will treatment take?
How often will I have to come in for scheduled appointments?
How long will appointments take?
Will I have to wear headgear?
What about cost?
Will I need to take pain medication?
We love to get these questions and know that the more questions you ask, the less you will worry.
Encourage Your Child to Ask Questions
We find that if a child is getting braces or orthodontic correction, they probably have as many questions or more than you do. Often, on top of those questions sits a healthy helping of nerves, and fear of the unknown.
If they are so inclined, it would be great for them to ask us questions as well. The thought of getting braces can be scary, but it's never a bad experience to get braces at Lovrovich Orthodontics.
